Friendship
Many
of us use the term friendship loosely. Social networking sites like Facebook
and Twitter connect us with tons of "friends." However, the truth of
the matter is that most of those so called "friends" are only
acquaintances and not true friends. A true friend is someone who brings out the
best in you; someone who encourages you; someone who gives unselfishly,
expecting nothing in return; someone who listens to you; someone who speaks the
truth with kindness (does so taking into consideration your feelings); a true
friend does not criticize. A true friend stands by your side no matter what the
circumstances. Friendships are two-sided,
in order to have a friend, you must first learn to be a friend.
